FHE Date Auction

No names, no faces, just the promise of a mostly-awkward-but-if-you're-lucky-mildy-good time.  Now that's what I call an auction.  Get ready for all the action on

Monday, September 19th
at Red Mountain Institute
7:00 pm

A bunch of singles wards are getting together under the guise of collecting food for St. Mary's food bank, and you definitely won't want to miss it.

Here's how it's all going down:

1. Sometime before next Monday, fill out a form if you have a cool idea for a date.  **REMEMBER**, you can't be the only one listed on the form -- there must be at least two people on the form for each date (a total of four for a group date).  It's for your own safety.  Any form with only one person will not be auctioned. :(

2. When you get to Red Mountain Institute at 7:00 pm next Monday, bring all the cans you can find and someone will tally your points for you by ounce.  Every ounce of food = 10 points.  As far as I understand, there is no limit to the number of points you can get this way (right?).  Hurray!

3. If you're all like, "I'm a poor college student and need my ramen to survive, so I'll sit this one out," there is hope for you yet!  For doing any of the following, you can get 100 points for each (up to 500 points including any donated food):
  • read your scriptures
  • visit the temple or temple grounds
  • help someone in need
  • donate to DI
  • go to church on Sunday
  • volunteer
As you can see, some of these are pretty loose terms, so get creative with your points!  For some reason, you can also get 500 points if you bring a plate of food to share at the event, which is probably because we value food that we can consume immediately more than anything else.

We hope to see your single selves there!
